I bet you like playing hide and seek don’t you? Tess and Tim did, especially when Grandad came to stay. He was great fun.

“Come on Grandad,” said Tess, “count to ten and then try to find us.” 

“We’re pretty good at hiding,” said Tim. 

Yes, I know you are. Remember last time, it took ages for me to find you in that cupboard.”

“Come on then, sit down, close your eyes and count to ten,” Tess said.

“OK,” said Grandad and sat down. “Get ready to hide,” he said. 

“Ready when you are,” said Tim.

Grandad put his hands over his eyes. 

“Make sure you don’t peek,” said Tess.

“That would be cheating,” said Tim.

“Course I won’t cheat. Now, ready? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten … “
